Features

Built for the lunchtime rush.

Every feature exists because a queue was too long, a phone rang too often, or a marketplace invoice stung too much.

โฐ Smart slots

The kitchen sets the pace, not the app.

Sarnie splits your day into collection slots โ€” say, four orders every ten minutes. Customers are always offered the nearest slot with space; when one fills, the next order rolls to the following slot automatically.

  • Slot length, capacity and lead time are yours to tune
  • Nothing to manage on the day โ€” it fills itself sensibly
  • Cancelled orders hand their slot back instantly

Pick a collection time

12:30 12:40 (nearest) 12:50 1:00 1:10

12:30 is full โ€” so nobody gets promised a sandwich the kitchen can't make.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Busy mode

One tap when it all kicks off.

Saturday scrum? Staff member off sick? Busy mode halves each slot's capacity, so new orders spread out into later slots and the kitchen gets room to breathe. Tap again when the rush passes.

Normal โ€” orders per slot4
Busy mode โ€” orders per slot2

Same demand, spread across more slots โ€” instead of a mob at the counter.

๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ Tickets & live status

Nobody asks "is mine ready yet?"

Every order gets a big daily ticket number and a live status page on the customer's phone: received, being made, ready to collect. It updates itself as staff work the board โ€” no texting, no shouting names over the counter.

๐Ÿ’ณ Payments

Online, or at the till. Always yours.

Customers pay online through Stripe โ€” money lands in your Stripe account, not a marketplace's โ€” or choose pay-at-the-counter. The till board shows a paid badge or the amount still owed on every order.

  • Stripe's standard card fee is the only per-order cost, and it goes to Stripe
  • Unpaid orders are marked paid with one tap at the till
  • Daily takings totted up on the board

๐Ÿ’ฌ Marketing & SMS · Pro plan

Receipts, ready-alerts and offers by text.

Itemised receipts by SMS or email, an automatic "it's ready" text when staff tap the board, and campaigns that bring regulars back on quiet days โ€” all to your own opted-in list, never a marketplace's.

  • Receipts and order updates sent automatically
  • Campaigns to everyone, regulars, or lapsed customers
  • Opt-in at checkout, one-tap unsubscribe, GDPR-friendly

๐Ÿฅ– Menu control

Sold out means sold out โ€” instantly.

Run the menu from behind the counter: change prices, add specials, and flip anything to "sold out" mid-service. It vanishes from the customer menu that second, so nobody orders what you can't make.

๐Ÿ“Š Accounting & reports

The till adds up. So should the books.

Every order is already in Sarnie โ€” so your bookkeeping does itself. A Z report lands at close each day, and Pro tracks the money going out as well as in: supplier costs, item margins, VAT and a running profit & loss.

  • Basic: daily Z reports, full sales history, CSV export for your accountant
  • Pro: log supplier invoices & expenses against sales
  • Pro: margin per menu item โ€” know what the BLT actually makes you
  • Pro: VAT summary, running P&L, and Xero / QuickBooks export

No app store

Customers order in the browser from a link or QR code. Nothing to download, nothing to update, works on any phone.

๐Ÿ”’

Staff-only till

The order board, menu and settings sit behind a staff login. Customers only ever see the menu and their own ticket.

๐Ÿงพ

Your data

Orders, customers, takings โ€” it's your system, so it's your data. No marketplace holding your regulars hostage.

See it running on your own menu.
